My name is Katie. I am 25 years old and yesterday was the first day of my quarter-life crisis. It’s not really a crisis though. It’s a new outlook on life and a change in direction, from working as an analyst at a large investment bank to traveling as a nomad in search of new perspectives. I am about to embark on a journey, which will begin in Manhattan with a dog, a car and the road. The goal is to learn more about the world. Perhaps I’ll gain some understanding of where I fit in it and be able to answer some of the questions that I have avoided asking. I don’t know if I will find all of the answers, but I know this will take me somewhere. I am going to write about it here to share my adventures with my friends and family and be able to come back to the things that I learn along the way.
